Internships & Placements
Proboscis offers unpaid 3 to 6 month internships and placement opportunities connected to specific projects and activities. Interns may be undergraduate or graduate students, in part-time employment, unemployed or freelance. Internships can be part-time (minimum 2 days per week) for full-time (maximum 4 days per week).

Selection is made on the basis of interest, commitment and motivation in working for Proboscis, ability to contribute and commitment to gaining a meaningful work experience. The ability to communicate your knowledge of or interest in the issues connected to an internship will enhance your application.

Proboscis positively encourages applications from all sections of the community.
All internships are unpaid, but Proboscis does offer a per diem to cover travel and subsistence.

Current Opportunities

Editorial : Proboscis is seeking an intern to assist in editorial and commissioning activities for Diffusion. Contact for more details.
Duration: Full-time for 3 months (3/4 days per week) or 2 days per week for 6 months
Education : Proboscis is seeking an intern to assist in the next stage of our education programme development. Contact for more details.
Duration: Full-time for 3 months (3/4 days per week) or 2 days per week for 6 months
Design & Communication : Proboscis is seeking an intern to assist in communicating our work as we develop our new website and online presence. Contact for more details.
Duration: Part-time (2 days per week) for 3 to 6 months
Programming : Proboscis is seeking an intern to assist us with developing the Diffusion Generator publishing-on-demand platform. Some experience of building web applications is required. Contact for more details.
