	Because we think that this life-style phenomenon is safely embedded in what is generally known as Capitalism we consequently found this project on its principles. Call Stretcher recognises the obvious distinction between airtime and whatever is communicated using this airtime - and exploits it to the highest extent. Similar to the exchange of currency in the money markets the traffic of calls in the network brings profit or loss depending on the telephone numbers that the shareholder invests. The goal is to accelerate the system, to increase the functionality of the network and to focus on the rewards of a rising balance.
	Call Stretcher would like to introduce a system that shifts mobile communication away from the key task of transmitting information, towards a method where the main focus is the connection itself. Transmitting a message is not necessary, but of course possible. The urge for talking has declined, and even remaining silent while calling makes sense in the call stretcher system. Like the modernists, who took away the burden of representation in painting we would like to take away the need for transmitted content and focus on the value of the medium itself. The goal is to abstract call in order to reach a new level of communication where the connection itself is the point of desire.
